Health Clinic.

Help save a life by supporting access to basic health care.

Primary healthcare in Malawi is free for all at the point of delivery. However, there is an acute shortage of practitioners, doctors and resources to meet the country’s needs.

  • The maternal and neonatal mortality rates in Malawi are amongst the highest in the world.
  • Malnutrition is one of the leading causes of death in Malawi
  • Save the Children estimates that one child in eight dies before their fifth birthday in Malawi and half of all children under the age of five have stunted development.
  • Around a million Malawians are thought to be HIV positive and AIDS is the leading cause of death.
  • To support this MRF have provided scholarships to 55 students to help the capacity in the health sector.
  • Only 46% of the population live within 5KM.
  • Malnutrition is one of the leading causes of death in Malawi

2023 MRF - Health Clinic Open

With your help our first clinic opened its doors in Nkhotakota.

The nearest clinic was 12 KM away and we hope this will provide much needed free primary healthcare to poor and needy families helping to save lives and improve their health and well-being.

Alongside this clinic plans have been drawn up to develop an under 5’s unit and a maternity unit in the future.

Please donate any amount to support the programme.
