SHUKRAN ORPHANAGE

As we have been requested to vacate the existing premises within the next twelve months, we have acquired a site in Jali to build a new complex and relocate our children.

Our proposal is build a new orphanage that is safe, secure and fit for purpose with all the facilities for the children to cater for their educational needs, as well as social, emotional and spiritual development.

 Improving Life Chances For Orphans

Malawi is one of the poorest countries, where 1 in 5 children will die before the age of 5 through preventable illness

Malawi had over 1 Million Orphans. According to UNICEF Over 13% of children have lost their parents Caregivers and 17% are living without their biological parents, only 6% of Orphans receive any medical support; 1 in 3 orphans fail to start even primary education, which is free in Malawi

Shukran Orphanage is our flagship project where we provide a caring and supporting living environment for 60 children. The children are provided with secular and religious education and support with their physical, social, emotional and spiritual development.

At the Orphanage we provide the children good quality living environment, clothing, food, Islamic and secular education, medical care, and social emotional support for all the children.

This year we have started a primary school at the complex to ensure the children receive the best standard of education.

Our aim is to ensure each child is inspired and supported to fulfil their full potential.
