EMPOWER WOMEN & PROMOTE SELF-RELIANCE

IMG_0778Developing Skills and providing livelihood is a major challenge in Malawi.

Our sustainability programmes aims to up skill individuals to provide them with the knowledge, skills, tools and resources that will empower them to earn a livelihood.

Our Tailoring programme in partnership with Al-Falah Education trust provides women in particular Widows, with education, support and training in tailoring so they can return to their home and continue to earn a living.

The nine month programme includes social life skills, and tailoring programme.

Each participant is then given a sewing machine and a starter pack to continue earning their livelihood.

Aim: To improve skills and improve the livelihood opportunities for women

Objectives: The programme objectives are;
1. To produce excellent primary level muallimahs
2. To produce good tailors who can successfully ran a tailoring class

HELP EMPOWER WOMEN AND PROMOTE SELF-RELIANCE
Last year we supported 200 women with sewing machines
Cost: £150
Sadaqah, Zakat & Lillah can be given

 

Target group:
Females between the ages of 25 -35 years
Preferably widows
Must have attended form 2 and above schooling

Malawi Relief Fund campaigners from the UK visited Malawi over the last fortnight to check upon progress of works being undertaken from donations to Malawi.
